Mercedes Moné vows to deal with Dynamite mystery attacker

TBS

Last Wednesday, the lights went out while Mercedes Moné was being interviewed on Dynamite. When they came back up, Moné had been laid out.

On tonight’s episode, Mercedes promised to get revenge for that attack and listed her (and everyone else’s) top suspects — the two wrestlers The C.E.O. could face in her debut match at Double or Nothing next month, current TBS champion Julia Hart and her challenger at this weekend’s Dynasty PPV, Willow Nightingale.

Those two women were scheduled to take part in a mixed tag match on the April 17 Dynamite. But when it came time for Nightingale to enter as Adam Copeland’s partner, we learned that she’d been taken out backstage.

That left Copeland to fight alone against Brody King, which went about as well as you’d expect. Nightingale showed up when he was at the TNT champ was in a particularly bad spot, but a loaded punch from Hart put her down and out. Referee Aubrey Edwards had no choice but to call it when Julia locked in Hartless.

She kept it locked in until Moné made her way to the ring with a steel chair and chased her off.

Tension was teased between Mercedes and Willow, but cooler heads prevailed… tonight, anyway.

Is Hart the mystery attacker, or is Nightingale trying to frame her? She was there after Willow got laid out, but where was Kris Statlander earlier?
