Litvitational 2 Smash Tournament Begins This Weekend

on

Super Smash Bros Ultimate has a few big events on the horizon, but next up is something fresh for 2024. It’s another round for one of last year’s new events, the Litivtational 2. This is going to be a major tournament with quite a few of the top names showing up. It’s carrying an impressive prize pool too. The whole event begins in Orlando on March 8th. What can we expect at the Smash Bros Litvitational 2 event at the weekend?

Ultimate Invitational at the Litvitational 2

Smash’s tournament landscape is a little different these days, but these regular invitationals from different organizers add a lot to variety. This one, the Litvitational, is going to be between 16 of the best Smash Bros players. It’s a high-stakes tournament, where we’ll see major players in Ultimate.

The prize pool on offer here is at $3,000. Since the event is only focusing on Ultimate and singles though, it makes sense to be a little smaller. The event is also an invitational format, there’s extremely limited open qualification. One player will make it through from the last-chance qualifier. Outside of that, it’s 16 of the top players who have been directly chosen.

The event will be played in a format of pools followed by a bracket. Even though this is an invitational, we’ll still get to see an earlier pools round whittle things down. Who exactly is competing at the Litvitational though? We know each of the players who have a spot already.
