Kodai Senga Diagnosed With Posterior Capsule Strain In Right Shoulder, Will Open Season On IL

on

Mets right-hander Kodai Senga, who experienced arm fatigue early in spring training, has been diagnosed with a moderate posterior capsule strain in his right shoulder, president of baseball operations David Stearns announced Thursday morning (X link via Anthony DiComo of MLB.com). He’s been shut down “until symptoms subside and strength returns.” There’s no timeline on that right now, so he’ll be out indefinitely. Senga will open the season on the injured list.

More to come.
