Kingston, Danielson round out Team AEW for DoN battle with The Elite

When Kenny Omega made his important announcement on the May 8 Dynamite — that he was booking The Elite in an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing — he only revealed two of the names who would oppose The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada & Jack Perry on May 26 in Las Vegas.

We found out who FTR’s partners will be after Matthew & Nicholas Jackson and company heeled it up in the final segment of tonight’s show. Okada mocked Omega, then The Bucks called Canada terrible (Dynamite was in Edmonton) and sarcastically wished Tony Khan well. The Elite showed no fear while accepted the match because, well, they run the dang place.

That brought out Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler, who were quickly joined by their partners… Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson! The quartet wasted no time marching to the ring and getting physical with The Elite.

Both make sense as AEW flagbearers. Kingston has some history with The Bucks, and Bryan has plenty from the Blackpool Combat Club’s feud with the previous version of The Elite — which includes DoN 2023’s Anarchy in the Arena match. And that’s to say nothing of his history with Okada over the past year.

Danielson is returning from “injuries” he suffered taking the Tiger Driver ‘91 from Will Ospreay at Dynasty last month, and will be action on Collision this weekend to shake off the ring rust. Not that you need to worry about that too much before a No DQ war like Anarchy in the Arena.
