The small-school OLB is going to quickly become a fan favorite in Philly.
A lot of people may not have been familiar with Eagles third round draft pick Jalyx Hunt before Friday night, but he’s quickly becoming someone fans are excited about. Aside from reports that Vic Fangio was interested in developing Hunt, and that he was much higher than No. 94 on most big boards, Hunt also appears to have a great personality — as evidenced by his call with the team after being drafted.

If Hunt calling Howie Roseman “Big Pimpin” wasn’t good enough, he also made sure to ask head coach Nick Sirianni for the playbook as soon as possible. There was so much noise and excitement as Hunt answered the call, Sirianni joked that they could call him back later.
It’s no wonder Hunt was so excited to be drafted by the Eagles, the OLB tweeted back in 2018 about how an Eagle is an amazing bird and how he’s working to be like one — it might not have been a Philadelphia Eagle, but it’s still pretty cool.
Amazing bird. 2 sets of eyelids. 1 set being hard and transparent. When storms approach, instead of hiding, they use those transparent eyelids to fly into the storm. Debris can’t affect vision and they use the storm to rise above the storm itself. Working to be like the eagle.
