Ian James Poulter is a pioneering golfer of the LIV Golf series, yet over two and a half seasons, his track record hasn’t been particularly memorable.
He has yet to finish on the podium, with his best overall result being an eleventh place at the Centurion Club last year. This year, his top performance came in Hong Kong, where he finished twelfth, while in the most recent tournament in Singapore, won by Brooks Koepka, he tied for thirty-fifth place with Charl Schwartzel.
Currently, he is ranked thirty-seventh in the individual overall standings.

However, the two-time Italian Open champion (2000 and 2002) is not worried about this and has responded defiantly to critics who have attacked his performance in the Saudi-led league. Poulter has taken to Instagram to share his thoughts through two posts.
The first post states: “Life doesn’t give us what we wish for… Life gives us what we fight for.”
The second, more pointed message reads: “I don’t need to win again”
“But it will happen again, and those who don’t think so, or don’t believe it, or are here just to spread negativity, need to look in the mirror because, probably, they are hiding behind some problem”
“And so, please, go ask for advice from a good friend.”
Poulter does not shy away from admitting that his performances have not been exhilarating, but he urges fans to look at the bigger picture and appreciate the work his team has done.
The Majesticks GC team, of which he is one of the captains, may not be a standout in the LIV Golf firmament, but they have engaged in a significant charity initiative.
