The ranking system is Tekken 8 divides you by how many points you’ve earned, but how do you gain or lose? Matchmaking is based on prowess. This is essentially a measurement of your skill You’ll be matchmade with people who have similar prowess. As you win matches, you’ll rise. If you lose, you’ll go down.
As fighting games are pure one-on-one brawls, they don’t need super complicated ranking systems. For the most part it’s sufficient to know that if you beat someone better than you at Tekken 8, you’ll go up. The reverse applies for losing. Getting better really comes down to getting better at fighting games in general.
