Two time Super Bowl champion will join front office as a senior scout
An all-time New York Giants great has officially returned to New York.
Chris Snee, a former All-Pro offensive guard, four-time Pro Bowl selection, and Giants ring of honor member, has been hired by the organization that once drafted him as the 34th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft to a senior scouting role.
“I’m super excited about it,” Snee said. “I’m a Giant, and I always have been, despite having worn Jaguars clothes for four years when I scouted there. Everyone knows my heart has always been here. This is where I feel like I belong and where I want to be, and I’m going to come in and work my tail off.”
Snee retired from playing in 2013. Four years later, he received an offer from the Jacksonville Jaguars to work as a scout. The offer came from Giants legendary coach Tom Coughlin, his former coach, father-in-law, and former executive vice president of the team.
Snee recently served as an analyst at his alma mater, Boston College, from 2022-2023.
During his decade-long tenure with the Giants, Snee played in 141 regular season games and 11 postseason games. He made significant contributions to the Giants’ Super Bowl 42 and 46 victories.
In addition, the Giants’ personnel department made some more changes as per the recent announcement by their general manager, Joe Schoen. Nick La Testa, who previously held the position of pro scout, has now been promoted to assistant director of pro scouting. Charles Tisch, who served as a football operations assistant, has been appointed as the new manager of football administration.
