Pretty much every year we get Fortnite X Star Wars. It means lightsabers, skins, and special challenges. What’s different this year though? Even though we’ve already seen tons of the biggest characters show up in-game, Epic has managed to pull out another two out which are clear fan favorites across the franchise.
As this one of the Fortnite collabs that reoccurs the most often, we have a decent idea of what we can expect even before it arrives. Plus, Epic’s been releasing teases of some of the fresh content we can expect. This is what we know about Fortnite X Star Wars in Chapter 5.

New Skins in Fortnite X Star Wars
Skins are always some of the most exciting parts of a crossover in-game. At this point though, we’ve got all the main characters in most of the franchise. What’s left? Even though we’ve had most of the original trilogy, there are a few extra names Epic has been saving for Chapter 5 Star Wars content.
The two headline new skins are going to be Lando and Chewie. These two characters aren’t quite the core trio, but they’re probably the standouts outside of them. Lando runs Cloud City and is a former ally of Han. Chewie is the loveable Wookie that communicates purely through growls. Both will be part of the new Fortnite X Star Wars crossover.

The skins look like fun additions to our current roster. It’ll be interesting to see them in-game when they arrive.
In-Game Content Across All Modes
Something Epic has made clear with Fortnite X Star Wars is that it’s not just for Battle Royale anymore. We’re expecting quite a bit of new content to come to other game modes too, like Lego Fortnite.
Lego Star Wars is an entire franchise of its own, it’s great to see this represented here. They’ll also be content for Fortnite Festival! Epic has highlighted this in the tease image for Lando.
We don’t know what songs are coming to Festival. It could be something fun from the series like Jedi Rocks, or Epic could just be giving vocalists a break with some of John Williams’ iconic score.
In Battle Royale itself, we’re definitely expecting the return of lightsabers. These will probably be with their force powers we’ve seen in newer collabs too. This has made them more interesting for Fortnite melee weapons too.

Fortnite X Star Wars is arguably our most oversaturated crossover in Fortnite. However, even in Chapter 5 it seems we’re finding new ways to do it. Between new skins, new content, and some items, it’ll be an interesting few weeks for the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
