Dylan Frittelli won, South African rule in Bahrain

In the Bahrain Championship, South African golfer Dylan Frittelli triumphed with a total of 275 shots (67 68 69 71, -13), demonstrating an exceptional performance. In second place, with a score of 277 (-11), we saw Zander Lombard, who shared this position with the Swede Jesper Svensson. In fourth place, with 279 hits (-9), was Ockie Strydom.

The tournament took place on the course of the Royal Golf Club (par 72), and among the eight Italian participants, Filippo Celli achieved the best result, finishing in 23rd place with an overall score of 284 (70 70 73 71, -4) . Matteo Manassero came in 35th place with 286 shots (69 73 72 72, -2), while Andrea Pavan was in 48th place with 288 shots (72 69 75 72, par), and Lorenzo Scalise was in 70th place with 295 shots (73 68 75 79, +7).

Dylan Ashley Frittelli, 33, from Johannesburg, dominated the tournament from the second round and sealed his victory with an impressive performance in the final round, making three crucial birdies after 12 holes played below expectations, despite two bogeys. This is Frittelli’s third career win on the DP World Tour, adding to two successes on the Challenge Tour and one on the PGA Tour. His triumph in Bahrain earned him a prize money of 390,779 euros, part of a total prize pool of 2,300,000 EUR.

Now the continental circuit moves to Doha, where the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will be held from 8 to 11 February. It will be interesting to see what the next challenges and successes will be in this competition.
