Are the Colts winners or losers, you decide!

The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up their 9-player rookie draft class this past week, and while general manager Chris Ballard and his scouting department brought in a number of talented prospecs to the Horseshoe—who are you the most excited about?

It’s a Colts draft class that is highlighted atop with UCLA’s Laiatu Latu, who is arguably the top pass rusher in this year’s class—or at the very least, the most NFL ready to immediately contribute at a high level as a rookie. The Colts liked him so much, they rebuked trade offers and made him the first defensive player selected in this year’s draft class. If Latu can stay healthy—with a prior significant spinal issue, he has a chance to be special in Indianapolis.

Perhaps the most exciting pick for the Colts was the uber-athletic wideout prospect that slide all the way to #52 overall, Texas’s AD Mitchell. Mitchell has the athleticism, speed, hands, and fluidity in and out of breaks to eventually be special at the NFL level—especially if he’s able to prove that any ‘maturity issues’ he had coming out was just a bunch of crap.

Where some have felt the Colts draft class fell a little short was at cornerback, as the Colts only addressed the depleted position with 6th round Marshall corner Micah Abraham. Ballard remains bullish on the group which includes last year’s early second round pick JuJu Brents, impressive late round find Jaylin Jones, and Dallis Flowers, who’s returning from a season-ending Achilles and could be a sleeper—if he can fully return to form.
