Former WWE superstar and current analyst for WWE Backstage CM Punk took to Twitter last night where the Chicago Savior joked about UFC star Colby Covington remixing a track with hip-hop icon Kanye West. Covington, who lost last night’s UFC 245 main event to Kamaru Usman by TKO, is an outspoken President Trump supporter, who has expressed interest in WWE in the past. When a fan asked Punk if he could imagine Covington in the pro-wrestling business, Punk stated that his “gimmick” is too divisive for modern WWE times, but that it does represent what the business used to be.
I think he really wants it, but the schtick is too divisive for 2020 WWE. Which is ironic because that’s what rasslin’ is supposed to be sometimes.
