Sweat gives the Titans another huge presence in the middle of the defensive line.
With the 38th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans picked T’Vondre Sweat, DL, Texas. The Titans have plenty of needs on the defensive side of the ball. Sweat fills one of those needs on the line. The still need to add an inside linebacker and a safety before the season kicks off.
Sweat is a large man at 6’4 366. It will be fun to watch him and Jeffery Simmons work together on the line. That is a lot of mass to move for opposing offensive lines.
The biggest question about Sweat heading into the draft was his motor. Playing next to Big Jeff will be some good motivation to not take any plays off.
If Ran Carthon doesn’t make a trade, this will be the only pick made tonight.
