Cain Velasquez Returning to the WWE Storylines Soon?

on

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is currently at the WWE Performance Center “getting in reps” as he prepares for another WWE match, according to a new report from Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc. Cain is expected to be at the WWE PC in Orlando for the next two weeks.

The report noted that Cain recently underwent a successful knee scope and is said to be feeling completely healthy.

Cain made his WWE in-ring debut at Crown Jewel 2019 last fall and quickly lost to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. He was set to work a WWE live event tag team match in Mexico City last November, but the match was nixed as there was talk of Cain’s knee issues bothering him, which WWE knew about before he signed. There was talk of Cain needing the surgery before his next WWE match.

Cain, who signed a three-year deal with WWE last year, was rumored for the 2020 Royal Rumble Match at one point, but that never happened. He’s also been rumored for WrestleMania 36 but this week’s update on the WrestleMania card did not include any mention of Cain appearing on the show. That could change now that he is doing better and is back at the WWE Performance Center.

Stay tuned for updates on Cain’s WWE status.
