on

C.M. Punk was recently interviewed by “Collider”. During the interview, he discussed how he landed his role in “The Girl On The Third Floor”, wanting to work with Ice-T & more. Here are the highlights:

On How He Landed The Role:

Just like everything else in my life, it kind of just fell from the sky. I was fortunate enough to have been recommended by Bobcat Goldthwait, which is a feather in my cap. That’s not something that as an 8-year-old kid watching Police Academy would ever think would happen, but thankfully he did. A friend of a friend knew how to get a hold of me, so that’s how it works, everybody! It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. They contacted me, and I’ve been contacted in the past about things, ‘oh hey we want to do this project, we want to do this movie’, so at first I did take it with a grain of salt. With the names attached to it, you can’t not [pay attention]. The first time I heard [producer Travis Stevens’] name I was like ‘the guy who produced Jodorowsky’s Dune?’ So without even reading the script, I was immediately like ‘I’m in!’ It can’t be a bad experience. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with this amazing cast—from catering to makeup to sound—everyone on the set was exceptional to work with. It’s where I’m at in my life; no assholes. I’m fortunate that I can pick and choose things, and my one rule is that I’m not working with everybody that sucks.

On His Dream Role:

I just want to work with Ice-T, so it’s got to be a procedural cop show, Law & Order.

On The Worst Job He’s Ever Had:

[Laughs] All roads have led me here sitting on this couch, doing this interview, so I really can’t say that I’ve ever had a ‘bad job’ so to speak. I used to work at a gas station that you might think was bad, but there’s so many hilarious stories that it…chapters of my life have led me here, so I can’t really shit on anything.

I’ve got a friend that worked at Amazon, and that sucked! Yeah, we’ll go there.

On What Movies He Quotes The Most:

All of them. I wish my wife was here so you could ask her this, and she could just cuss a bunch. I’m that guy that’ll have a movie on and I’ll just [motions like I’ll just constantly talk]… Big Trouble In Little China, Slap Shot, The Thing… she hates it. Absolutely hates it.
