A new report says the company’s long-time voice will no longer manage other announcers so he can focus on his role calling Raw and PLEs.

In addition to his duties calling WWE’s main roster television programs and events over the years, Michael Cole has also long managed the company’s announcing team.

According to a report from PWInsider this afternoon (May 3), Cole will no longer be overseeing other talent. The site’s Mike Johnson reports that he’s confirmed with multiple sources that “Cole has pulled back from those responsibilities in order to concentrate fully on his work on camera as the lead voice on WWE’s Monday Night Raw and PPV events”.

The decision is said to be one Cole made on his own, and that WWE “had no issue with”.

Insider adds that word at the company is that Sue Cundaro is taking over Cole’s former duties and will manage the announcing talent going forward. Cundaro is a long-tenured WWE employee and has worked with Cole in his management role during her time there.
