While he may never have found consistent success in the UFC, Perry has blossomed into a true star in BKFC. The bombastic power-puncher has quickly risen to be the face of bare-knuckle boxing after a string of bloody victories. Perry debuted in the promotion in February 2022 with a hard-fought win over Julian Lane, then found his stride with monster showcases over Michael Page, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, and former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. Now he faces yet another tough test.
A former BKFC middleweight champion in his own right, Alves is no stranger to the bare-knuckle boxing ring. The one-time UFC title challenger may be best remembered for his bout against UFC welterweight king Georges St-Pierre, but Alves is also a perfect 2-0 under the BKFC banner, scoring a split decision over Lane and a third-round stoppage of Ulysses Diaz to capture the vacant middleweight title in 2021. Alves has not fought since, but now returns in a massive opportunity against Perry.
