The Arab Championship is taking place from 26 February to 5 March 2023 in Khartoum, Sudan. Players receive 90 minutes for the entire game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 9-round Swiss tournament with participation of Abubaker Tagelsir, Sedrani Ammar, Rafat Issa, Al Khatib Ahmad, Mohsen Elgabry, Gong Thon Gong, Siddig Eltag, Bashir Eiti, Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, etc.
