Andrade thanks Tony Khan and AEW as he says goodbye to the company

on

He hasn’t appeared on WWE television yet as some expected he would, but Andrade El Ídolo’s AEW run is over. Tony Khan confirmed as much at the media scrum following last Saturday’s Worlds End PPV, during which Andrade lost to Miro while losing his manager, CJ Perry, in the process.

The AEW owner had nothing but good things to day about the Mexican star over the weekend, and Andrade was just as gracious in a Tuesday (Jan. 2) post on X marking the end of his two-and-a-half years with All Elite:

I want to thank you for this time that I belonged to the company @aew and above all to Tony khan I also want to say goodbye to all the talent, security people, cameramen, referees and everyone who works in the company for being part of my time in AEW. kenny, young bucks, tazz, Shiavone, Aubrey, Jerry, Hobbs, hook, Kingston, Ricky, Orange, thunder, jack Perry, Austin, Colten, Sonjay and many more that I can name, also how to forget all the Mexicans (todo el relajo) I enjoyed sharing the ring with STING, PAC, Darby, García, Jay and many more. I would have loved to face MOX, Page, Hobbs, Ricky, Dante, Cage, Dustin. Thank you AEW AND Thank you to all the fans for your support always. I wish you the best always!!!

No mention of Sammy Guevara, but otherwise it seems like everyone is parting on the best possible terms. AEW’s show goes on with tonight’s episode of Dynamite. If reports are right, we should be seeing Andrade on a WWE show soon.
