During last night’s NBA game between the Los Angeles Clippers vs Portland Trailblazers on TNT, a new commercial for AEW Dynamite aired that slammed NXT with week 1 quotes from the media. In the commercial are the following quotes from the media:
“AEW delivered on it’s promises” – NY Post
“AEW Dynamite crushes NXT” – ComicBook
“AEW Dynamite trounces NXT” – Forbes
“AEW Dynamite buries NXT” – The Wrap
Side note: The first quote from the NY Post, only half the quote was used. From the source which we’ve linked, the entire quote reads, ““AEW delivered on it promises, but there’s still work to do on the rest.”
Every one of those quotes were the reactions, from each respected media, to AEW beating NXT in the week 1 ratings. AEW Dynamite drew 1.409 million viewers and NXT drew 891,000 viewers for the head to head October 2nd airings. Dynamite won the first 7 weeks of overall viewership and NXT has won the last 2. AEW, however, has maintained their lead in the 18 – 49 demographics.
