The Jets finally make a day three draft pick

The New York Jets have selected running back Braelon Allen out of the University of Wisconsin with the 134th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Braelon Allen is a 20 year old, 6’ 1”, 235 pound running back out of the University of Wisconsin.

Allen is a huge power back who is one of just four backs in Wisconsin history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season as a true freshman. His size and strength make him a load to take down. He has the strength to push the pile and should be an asset in short yardage and goal line situations. He averaged a rushing touchdown per game in college. Allen is big enough to anchor and has the potential to develop into a reliable pass blocker. He has the tools to potentially develop into a reliable receiver out of the backfield.

The Jets remaining picks in the 2024 NFL draft are as follows:

Fifth Round: Pick #173

Fifth Round: Pick #176

Sixth Round: Pick #185

Sixth Round: Pick #190

Seventh Round: Pick #257
