The Miami Dolphins made a move to jump back into the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft to acquire running back Jaylen Wright.

The Miami Dolphins are back in the 2024 NFL Draft after not having a third-round pick. The Dolphins were not expected to make a pick in the fourth round either, but the team made a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, sending away a 2025 third-round pick, to jump into the 120th overall spot this year. With the selection, the Dolphins have selected Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright.

The Dolphins continue to build speed, adding a running back who ran a 4.38 yard 40-yard dash, to an offense built completely around speed. Wright joins running backs De’Vone Achane and Raheem Mostert and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

In the first round, Miami selected Penn State edge rusher Chop Robinson, giving them a player who can start this year if Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb are not fully recovered from their season-ending injuries from last year. They came back in the second round to select Houston tackle Patrick Paul, who seems to be the heir apparent for Terron Armstead at left tackle.

The Dolphins remaining picks are 158, 184, 198, and 241.
