It’s officially Draft Week

The 2024 NFL Draft is very nearly upon us, so it’s time to unveil the 2024 Big Blue View Big Board.

This board is the culmination of months of film study and scouting reports on the part of Nick Falato and I. Our board is built through the lens of studying the draft from a New York Giants perspective, but also with our own philosophies on player value as well as our shared influences from The Scouting Academy.

How to read the board

As usual, the BBV Big Board is built in the mold of a “Pro Style” two axis board, breaking players down by position and neighborhood. We believe this gives a more accurate representation of relative value as compared to the vertically stacked boards typically used in the media.

We do try to order players according to our perceived value within neighborhood. For instance, player at the top of the “Second Round” group is a bit higher on our board than someone at the bottom of the group. That said, they all have relatively similar values and could shift based on team composition and philosophy. Drafting one before another within that group shouldn’t be considered a “reach”.

Special note: Due to the sheer number of wide receivers in this year’s draft class, that section has an overflow built in. It’s read the same way as a two-column periodical.
