The Jets complete a trade-laden draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is now in the books for the New York Jets. The New York Jets traded back one slot and picked up a couple of mid-round draft picks before taking offensive tackle out of Pennsylvania State University with the 11th overall pick. It was the first in an avalanche of draft trades by Jets GM Joe Douglas. When the smoke cleared the Jets traded all but one of their original top six picks in the draft. They traded up, they traded down, they traded out of the 2024 draft and into the 2025 draft. It was an absolute trade frenzy for three days. In the end the Jets picked up a 2025 third round pick from the Detroit Lions and a 2026 sixth round pick from the Denver Broncos. They also made seven selections in the 2024 NFL Draft.
