WWE star Cruz Del Toro posted the following message on Instagram earlier today, revealing that he had successful surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
“A special thank you to Dr. McKeon and the team at Birmingham Surgery Center for their care, the surgery was a success.
Thank you for your messages of support and good wishes. I will be back soon and better than ever.
Like someone said… #todayisdayone”
The LWO member doesn’t explain the exact nature of the injury that required surgery, aside from the obvious fact that he’s wearing a cast on his left arm in the picture.
His last match occurred on the April 5 episode of WrestleMania SmackDown, where Del Toro was one of the participants in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He also got physically involved at WrestleMania night one on April 6 during Rey Mysterio’s tag team match, fighting off Legado Del Fantasma with a dive through the ropes.
