Some long-reigning champions who dropped their belts at WrestleMania XL earlier this month appear poised for a lengthy absence from WWE and our screens.
It might have made sense for Gunther to take some time off after Sami Zayn ended his historic run as Intercontinental champion in Philadelphia. But he’s already gone back to work on the house show circuit during WWE’s tour of the United Kingdom this week, and a rumor hit recently that he’ll be returning to TV on Raw Monday (April 22).

Gunther has not been seen since losing his Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL, ending his record-breaking title reign at 666 days.
