Don’t be shy Turf Show Ramily, I know you’re dying to share them!
There is still a while to go before training camp begins for the Los Angeles Rams. The preseason and regular season will be not far behind once training camp comes to a close. LA has had a strong offseason following a surprising 2023 campaign and have high hopes entering the upcoming season.
But as sports fans know all too well, anything can happen before the season starts. The way we view the Rams now could very well change a few months or even days from now. Given the aggressive nature of front offices across the NFL, don’t expect a quiet summer.
With that in mind Rams faithful, what are your bold predictions for the 2024 season? Sure, it might be a tad early to do such an exercise, it’s always fun to see what fans expect to happen compared to what happens in reality.
Some of my bold predictions include the Bills, viewed as a Super Bowl contender despite trading Stefon Diggs to the Texans, missing the playoffs entirely. I love Josh Allen and all but Buffalo is an aging team which will show against their more youthful counterparts. I’m also expecting the Cowboys to follow their lead. Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy simply don’t have the clutch gene (aside from Mike’s lone fluky title run with Green Bay). Dallas has a talented squad on paper, yet their offseason was quite abysmal for an expected contender.
My other bold prediction is that a non-quarterback will win MVP for the first time since Adrian Peterson in 2012. Now that is bold and I have an explanation for my madness. I intend no disrespect to Lamar Jackson, but last season was the first time in a long time that a QB shouldn’t have won the award. Assuming the overall sloppy level of offensive play carries over, this might not be so bold. However, any non-QB with MVP aspirations must have a truly special season to accomplish this.
