The Seahawks have finally ended their losing streak. Can they start a new winning streak?

After finally ending a four-game losing streak on Monday night, the Seattle Seahawks (7-7) have a couple of AFC opponents to deal with before the calendar flips to 2024. On Christmas Eve, Seattle travels to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans (5-9), who sit at the bottom of the AFC South and won’t be able to improve their position.

Drew Lock became a cult hero after his 92-yard game-winning touchdown drive against the Philadelphia Eagles, but now Seattle’s backup quarterback returns to his familiar role, while starter Geno Smith is back from his groin injury. Meanwhile, the Titans started the year with Ryan Tannehill at QB, then switched to rookie Will Levis after Tannehill got injured, and now they may return to Tannehill due to Levis’ injury. Mike Vrabel’s side is heavily banged up, but that didn’t stop them from pulling off a famous road upset over the Miami Dolphins two weeks ago.

The Seahawks can’t take any of these games for granted, especially knowing what’s on the line in terms of their playoff fate.

What’s at stake?

Depending on other results, the Seahawks could return to a wild card spot with a win. A loss would put them back in playoff peril. The Titans are mathematically eliminated from the postseason and are playing for pride and job security.

Odds

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Seahawks as 2.5-point favorites, with the over/under currently at 42 points.
