WWE star Erik from the Viking Raiders issued a short statement on Twitter commenting on Jyushin Thunder Liger’s retirement tour, where the Raw tag champion calls the Japanese legend a hero, and everything that is right about professional wrestling. He writes, “They say to never meet your heroes. Most of the times this is true. Liger-san is an exception. He is everything that is good and right about professional wrestling. Thank you. Liger worked his final match in the U.S. at Saturday’s NJPW Showdown event from San Jose. His retirement bout will take place on the second night of WrestleKingdom 14.
