Detroit Lions rookie minicamp kicks off Friday! Meko and Morgan break down which rookies they’re most excited to see play.

We still have a long spring and summer to go, but it will get here quicker than we think. Of course, I am talking about Fall and the upcoming 2024 NFL season. And really, who can blame us as Detroit Lions fans?

After a legendary draft weekend in Detroit, the city is still buzzing. The Lions’ 2024 draft class has been finalized, and on Friday we will see the rookies hit the practice field for the first time during rookie minicamp.

With this on the horizon, it got my good friend Meko Scott and I thinking—which rookies are we most excited to watch in 2024?

There are a few obvious candidates for sure. First-round draft pick Terrion Arnold is sure to draw a lot of eyes once he steps onto the field. Out of the University of Alabama, many had Arnold as the first cornerback on their board entering draft weekend.

Some of the same things can be said for their second-round pick, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. out of Missouri. Both Arnold and Rakestraw figure to be firmly in the mix for playing time once training camp gets rolling in early August.

Even after the first two picks, there are some really intriguing players in this class, despite the fact that most won’t see a ton of playing time in 2024—barring injury or something along those lines.

Find out what Meko and I have to say about this topic as we break down which Lions’ rookies we are most excited to watch in 2024.
