Went from zero to 100 real quick.

Did you know Trey Hendrickson was unhappy in the Queen City?

Well, I, for one, did not, and neither did the strong majority of Bengaldom.

Alas, the Cincinnati Bengals now have a potentially major problem on their hands.

Hendrickson, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, has requested a trade the day prior to the commencing of the 2024 NFL Draft, in which Cincinnati is slotted to pick 18.

According to The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway, Hendrickson has also considered retiring.

The Bengals have an ample amount of needs, and the defensive line is one of them. Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard have been staples of the Bengals’ defensive line over the last several years.

While their intent seems to be to keep Hendrickson on the roster, he, like Tee Higgins, is going to want to be paid, and it’ll be Cincinnati to figure out how to use the ample cap space they have.

Hendrickson has put up 14 or more sacks in two of his three seasons in Cincinnati, totaling 17.5 a year ago. That said, who knows what is going on in the Bengals’ front office.

Here are some thoughts from Twitter regarding this situation.

Haha butts.
