Seahawks get: 1-22, 2-53 … Eagles get: 1-16, 3-81. GM Howie Roseman lives to move up a couple picks in Round 1 and beat another team to the player he wants. By those standards, jumping six picks is a more significant leap, but the Eagles are being run a little differently in 2024 than they were in years past. Roseman has to seriously think about what’s going to happen at cornerback in both the short- and long-term. James Bradberry and Darius Slay could both be gone in 2025, and Philadelphia might need a first-rounder to step in and play meaningful snaps if either of the two get injured this season. Moving up would get the Eagles ahead of the Jaguars in the cornerback mix. Philly has two second-round picks as a result of its trade with the Saints before the 2022 draft, but it doesn’t have a third-rounder after recent deals for Kelee Ringo and Kenny Pickett. (The Ringo trade, where the Eagles dealt a third-rounder in 2024 for a fourth-rounder in 2023, was a heat check for Roseman.) The Seahawks are missing their second-rounder from the Leonard Williams trade, so this is one way for them to get back that missing capital, albeit at the expense of their third-rounder.

Question from @Philly_Bul215: What’s the highest you see the Eagles moving up to on draft night? Top 15? I think Seattle at 16 is the sweet spot. I agree that Seattle is the sweet spot for a trade up. If the Eagles were to get to that spot, at least one of JC Latham, Amarius Mims, Terrion Arnold, or Quinyon Mitchell should be available. In my opinion, those are the four players the Eagles are most likely to make a modest move up for. But also: Howie is boys with Seattle GM John Schneider, and they’ve done their fair share of deals. The Seahawks don’t have a second-round pick, and the trade chart works out nicely for the following kind of swap: Eagles get Pick 16, Pick 81 … Seahawks get Pick 22, Pick 50.

As a free agent in 2023, Dillard signed a three-year, $29 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, who he played for last season. In the first nine weeks of the season, Dillard made eight starts for the Titans before being benched. He returned to the starting lineup in Week 17 and 18, playing 56 percent of Tennessee’s total offensive snaps.

The Philadelphia Eagles, ever understanding of the finances of football, understand that getting deals done early is usually how you save in the long run and locked up DeVonta Smith earlier this week. The clock is ticking.

The Washington Commanders have 6 picks in the top 100 of this year’s draft, including the #2 overall pick. They are expected to take a QB in the first round, most likely at #2 after the Chicago Bears select QB Caleb Williams. Peters reportedly had around 20 players in for Top 30 visits, including four of the top QB prospects. Most people expect Washington’s decision to come down to UNC’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels.

2. Troy Fautanu, Washington. There were a couple offensive linemen with tackle-guard versatility in the SB Nation staff rankings. While players like Jordan Morgan from Arizona and Graham Barton from Duke made it onto our tackles list, Fautanu ended up getting kicked inside. Nonetheless, he’s a high-level prospect who should generate Round 1 consideration. With his lateral quickness, short-area burst, precision as a down blocker and technically-sound skill set, Fautanu projects as an immediate starter with plenty of potential.
