The 2023 Tata Steel Challengers kicks off today in Wijk aan Zee, simultaneously with the Tata Steel Masters 2023, with the first round starting at 14:00 CET. The live broadcast of the games will start with 15 minutes delay, in accordance with anti-cheating measures taken by the organizers.
The first round brings seven interesting clashes. GM Mustafa Yilmaz will be White against GM Velimir Ivic, GM Abhimanyu Mishra plays against IM Eline Roebers, GM Max Warmerdam goes against GM Jergus Pechac. Round 1 pairings can be found below:
