Stan Wawrinka shares a shocking update on his retirement

“I’m nearing the end of my career, but I don’t feel old. I get so much support at all the tournaments I go to around the world which is one of the reasons I keep playing. I hope to continue, I don’t know how long time. I had four incredible years with Grand Slam victories and a Masters 1000. I beat the world number one three times in Grand Slam finals, an incredible part of my career. One of my best experiences was at the Olympic Games of 2008 in the doubles match with Roger Federer. Being in the Olympic village with the Swiss delegation and winning the gold medal was a seminal experience. When I was young I didn’t dare to dream. I dreamed of becoming a professional player, of playing in the Top 100. Then, step by step, I was able to dream more: top 50, top 20, top 10,” Said Wawrinka at the press conference. Wawrinka won 3 Slam in his amazing career. He won his first Major at the Australian Open 2014, by beating Rafael Nadal. Stan then won the Roland Garros 2015 after a simply sensational performance against Novak Djokovic. The Swiss then won the US Open 2016 again against the Serbian champion.
