The South African Hockey5s Women’s Team experienced an emotional blazer ceremony and send-off today at the Garden Court Hotel, OR Tambo. Surrounded by loved ones and a select group of media representatives, the team is set to embark on their journey to Muscat, Oman, to participate in the Inaugural Hockey5s World Cup.
Shaune Baaitjies (HER), the interim CEO of SA Hockey, extended heartfelt wishes to the team for a successful journey and performance at the upcoming tournament. The ceremony was a poignant moment, highlighting the collective support behind the athletes.
Coach Tsoanelo Pholo expressed confidence and enthusiasm about the team’s preparations and readiness for the competition. South Africa has been placed in Pool B alongside formidable opponents Australia, Zambia, and Ukraine, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive tournament.
