Rumor Roundup: Cody Rhodes status, Tony Khan angle, Dijak contract, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Despite how the spot looked during the match with Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown, Wrestling Observer Radio says Cody Rhodes did not suffer any injury to his shoulder or otherwise.
  • Per the Observer, Tony Khan did the angle where he was taken out in part so he could appear with a neck brace at the NFL Draft as a publicity stunt.
  • Despite being drafted to Monday Night Raw, Fightful Select notes that Dijak has yet to sign a new contract with WWE or even been approached about as much. There is a belief he will do so, however.
  • Fightful says Scrypts will be departing WWE on June 1 when his contract expires. The company chose not to try to sign him to a new deal.
  • They also say Mike Rome will be working NXT now.
