The results are in, and the majority of Jaguars fans would cherrypick Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum.
This week, we asked Jacksonville Jaguars fans which Baltimore Ravens player they’d cherrypick to place on the Jags roster.
35% of voters chose center Tyler Linderbaum, who was selected 25th overall out of Iowa last year. (Current Jaguars center Luke Fortner was taken 40 spots later.) Second-year safety Kyle Hamilton received 22% of votes and veteran cornerback Marlon Humphrey received 18%.
According to Sports Info Solutions, Linderbaum and Fortner have identical blown block rates on pass plays this season (1.3%). However, Linderbaum ranks 2nd among 42 centers with a 1.1% blown block rate on run plays and Fortner ranks 35th with a 4.1% clip. Linderbaum and Fortner rank 8th and 39th, respectively, among 39 centers in PFF grade.
As for the confidence tracker — 63% of Jaguars fans are confident in the direction of the team, a drop from last week’s 78% mark. It was 95% the week prior. I’ll be interested to see what the chart looks like next week following a primetime matchup against the 10-3 Ravens.
