ESPN’s Matt Miller deems Beaux Limmer the best value and Brennan Jackson a “perfect hit”

ESPN’s Matt Miller has to grades hundreds of prospects in the draft every year, if not sometimes tipping the scales close to 1,000 names, so it’s notable that he was especially stunned that the Los Angeles Rams were able to draft offensive lineman Beaux Limmer in the sixth round. On Monday, Miller posted his best values and biggest reaches in a thread on Twitter and named Limmer alongside receiver Brenden Rice and quarterback Michael Pratt.

That’s quite the praise for a player who went 217th overall.

Perhaps it only means that Limmer will be a good backup with a chance to compete as a starter in the future, maybe 2025 or 2026, but it’s not a bad sign that L.A. has more offensive linemen on the roster who could contribute in any way possible. With the investment made at guard and center in the past two offseasons, the Rams can’t afford to have one injury cost them a chance at the playoffs or to protect Matthew Stafford. So getting Limmer in the sixth round, basically a throwaway pick for a lot of teams, is what Les Snead really needed with his day three picks.

In a poll of Rams fans on the best picks of day three, Limmer is holding his own against Brennan Jackson and Joshua Karty.

Interestingly, Matt Miller also noted in the thread that he had Brennan Jackson ranked as the 154th best player on his big board. The Rams picked Jackson with the 154th pick.
