Would you rather the Raiders were able to get Washington quarterback?

There was a lot of speculation in the days leading up to last month’s NFL draft that pointed to the Las Vegas Raiders being a likely landing spot for Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in the first round.

Penix, though, became the story of the draft when the Atlanta Falcons drafted him with the No. 8 overall pick despite the fact that they just gave veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins a massive contract on free agency.

Yet, there as a report that the Raiders were among the teams that tried to trade up for a quarterback with the Falcons at No. 8. Perhaps the target was Penix, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy (who went No. 11 to the Minnesota Vikings) or Oregon’s Bo Nix (who went to the Denver Broncos at No. 12).

Also, ESPN reported the Raiders would have considered Penix if he was available at No. 13.

In reality, of course, the Raiders opted for Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at No. 13 with Penix off the board. Bowers was considered a luxury pick and he didn’t fill a need but he was a great value.

If you could go back in time, you you prefer the Raiders finding a way to take Penix because of the need to get a young quarterback on the roster or are you satisfied with Bowers?
