Raiders reportedly interested in Nebraska cornerback

Among the players Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly having a pre-draft visit with is Nebraska cornerback Omar Brown.

Let’s take a closer look at Brown:

Size:

6-1, 200 pounds.

2023 Stats:
He played in all 12 games and had 51 tackles, three pass breakups and one interception. He was honorable mention All-Big Ten.

Career highlights:

He played at Nebraska for the 2022 and ‘23 season. prior to that, he spent three season at Northern Iowa. He was the FCS 2019 freshman defensive player of the year. He was third-team FCS AL-American as a freshman.

How he’d fit in with Raiders:

Brown, who reportedly also has a pre-draft visit planned with the Green Bay Packers, would likely be developmental player (and potential immediate special teams player) at a position where the Raiders are expected to add in the draft. Some scouts think he projects as a strong nickel player.

What’s his draft range?

He is probably a late-round prospect or undrafted free agent.
