Las Vegas has reported interest in Memphis pass-rusher

Among the draft prospects the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly having a pre-draft visit with Memphis pass-rusher Jaylon Allen.

Let’s take a closer look at Allen:

Size:

6-3, 240 pounds.

College highlights:

He was a second-team All-AAC pick in 2023 and two-time All-Academic selection in the conference. He started all 13 games for the 10-3 Tigers in 2023. He had two sacks and seven tackles for loss in 2023 as a fifth-year season.

Traits:

He is athletic and has the frame to get bigger and add explosion to his pass-rush skills.

How he’d fit in with Raiders:

He’d be a developmental player at a position where the Raiders are well stocked. There would be no pressure on him to make an immediate impact and he could likely grow as a member of the Raiders’ practice squad.

What’s his draft range?

He is likely a late-round or undrafted free agent target.
