Day 3 pick has real chance to stick

The Las Vegas Raiders drafted New Hampshire running back Dylan Laube in the sixth round of the recent 2024 draft

Let’s take a closer look at Laube:

Size:

5-10, 206 pounds.

2023 Stats:

He was first-team FCS All-American as an all-purpose player. He was the Coastal Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Year. He was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, which goes to the top player in the FCS. Laube had 749 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, 68 receptions with for 699 yards and seven receiving scores. he had a kickoff and punt return for a touchdown.

Career highlights:

He redshirted at New Hampshire in 2018 and starred in 2019, 21, and 22 before huge monster senior season. The 2020 season was mostly cancelled due to COVID. Laube led the team in all-purpose yards every season. He had 19 total touchdowns in 2022.

Senior Bowl:

He helped gain exposure and shed the talk about being a little-known FCS player be attending the Senior Bowl this tear where he impressed scouts.

How he will fit in with Raiders:

Laube can do it all, so he will push for a roster spot as a third-down back and as a returner. if he has a strong training camp and preseason, he could potentially push veteran Ameer Abdullah off the roster. At this point, it would be a surprise if Laube isn’t on the 53-man roster whether Abdullah is on the roster or not.
