Rafael Nadal is one of the most anticipated men at the Italian Internationals in Rome. It will be the last time he is at the Foro Italico and the desire to see him on court is great. He will make his debut in the next few hours against the qualified Bergs and, if he wins, he will face the No. 8 seed Hubert Hurkacz. In the last year and a half, Nadal has had several physical problems, his career has been affected and now his future is also at stake. Nadal was due to play his final season in 2024, but he has played very little and even his presence at Roland Garros is in serious jeopardy. Nadal was supposed to play in Paris for the last time, but the tennis player still makes his presence conditional.

During today’s press conference, the Spaniard made the following statements: “It’s always fantastic to be here, the crowd is very warm and I feel great emotions. I remember the matches against Gullermo Coria and Roger Federer, the first two times I won here. It’s a tournament with a great tradition and I am happy to be here again. Will I play at Roland Garros? I do not have a clear answer to that, because for now I am playing the tournament in Rome and not thinking about the next one. Nadal’s conditions are always to be evaluated and the tennis player (with the fan) wants to understand if he is really competitive for Paris’s tournament. Nadal has won Roland Garros 14 times and has numerous records to his name. In recent tournaments, he has shown a good level and also a grown level, but is still a long way from the days when he dominated the ATP circuit. Fans are waiting to see him on court in Rome and then fans would know his decision for Roland Garros.

Rafael Nadal will make his tournament debut tomorrow at the Foro Italico and fans can’t wait to see him on the pitch. Rafa is back to Rome!
