Predicting the production for new Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

It has been a little over a month since the Houston Texans acquired All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills, and it is time to predict his production.

Diggs has been one of the best players in football over the last several years, regardless of position, and he will likely continue to dominate with rookie sensation CJ Stroud at quarterback.

Houston already has two very good starting receivers on the roster in Nico Collins and Tank Dell. Collins was extremely productive in 2023, catching 80 passes for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns, shattering his previous records. Dell was also very productive as a rookie before he was lost for the season due to a broken fibula, catching 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Texans now have plenty of weapons for Stroud, and a ton of mouths to feed, and it remains to be seen who will be the primary target. Diggs is without question still a very good football player, catching 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023.

In 2022, Diggs cleared 1,400 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, meaning he still has a lot left in the tank. If Diggs ends up being the clear cut favorite for Stroud in 2024, it would not be surprising to see the veteran have a similar season to 2022.

If Diggs is not the clear cut favorite for Stroud, and it is more of a shot in the dark as to who will get the bulk of targets each week, Diggs’ production could take a slight hit.

FINAL STAT PREDICTION: 100 RECEPTIONS / 1,200 YARDS / 10 TOUCHDOWNS

Diggs has been extremely durable throughout his career, therefore it seems like a lock that he will be able to continue his streak of going over 1,000+ yards, which is at six consecutive years in a row, dating back to his Minnesota Vikings days.

The Texans top three wide receivers all have the talent to go over 1,000 yards in 2024, and would be the first trio to do so since the 2008 Arizona Cardinals.
