Jake Browning, Nick Mullens, and playoff hopes

Three weeks ago, Joe Burrow went down with a wrist injury against the Baltimore Ravens.

It was no surprise that everyone felt the season was over in Cincinnati, and it was fair to think that after losing a franchise piece like Burrow.

Fast-forward to now, and the Bengals are right back in position for a playoff spot with Jake Browning leading this team to back-to-back wins over the Jaguars and Colts.

Cincinnati is currently 7-6 on the year, with the Minnesota Vikings coming to town on Saturday… Yes, Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings have numerous question marks going into the weekend.

Nick Mullens is now the starting QB for Minnesota, top running back Alexander Mattison is out, and All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson is questionable due to a chest injury.

The Bengals are relatively healthy outside of some big pieces on IR like Cam Taylor-Britt and, of course, Joe Burrow.

Zac Taylor and the offense have found a much-needed balance with the run game and passing game. A big part of that has been the breakout of rookie Chase Brown.

As of now, DraftKings Sportsbook has the Bengals favored by three vs. the Vikings.
