Patriots updated depth chart: NFL Draft edition

A look at how the draft is impacting the Patriots’ 90-man roster.

The NFL Draft has arrived, and the New England Patriots are entering it with 71 players on their active roster. This leaves 19 spots to be filled by draft selections, of which the team currently has eight, as well as rookie free agent signings.

As of Thursday morning, the Patriots’ biggest holes remain at quarterback, left tackle, and outside wide receiver. The expectation is that those three positions will be addressed early in the draft, with the QB spot likely the first domino to fall.
