New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has teamed up with Best Buddies to participate in this year’s Best Buddies Challenge in Hyannis Port. The third overall selection in this year’s draft, Maye will serve as honorary chair.

The event on Saturday, June 1, will bring cyclists — or, alternatively, runners and walkers — of all abilities together for a good cause. Led by former pro cyclist Alberto Contador, a two-time winner of the Tour de France, riders can choose between 100, 55 or 20 miles along Cape Cod.

“I’m super excited to join Best Buddies Challenge,” Maye wrote about his involvement on social media. “Join me in supporting people with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. You may cycle, run, or walk on Cape Cod Saturday, June 1st.”

The funds raised during the event will help Best Buddies International fight the social, physical and economic isolation suffered by 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the globe. In order to join and support Maye’s team, please follow this link.
