The Eagles have another new interior offensive lineman!

With the 190th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select … Dylan McMahon, offensive lineman, NC State!

McMahon is an interior offensive lineman with college starts logged at center, left guard, and right guard.

The Eagles certainly needed more center depth with Jason Kelce retiring. There is currently no clear cut dedicated backup to Cam Jurgens, though Landon Dickerson could always move inside if he has to play there. McMahon could compete with Matt Hennessy for a role as backup center/interior offensive line depth guy.

One would imagine McMahon’s lack of size could lead to Kelce comparisons but there is simply no comparing any prospect to a future Hall of Famer like Kelce.

By selecting McMahon, the Eagles are currently done picking in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Scouting report via NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein:

Center-only prospect on the next level, lacking desired length and NFL play strength. McMahon plays with good intelligence and technique, which serves him well against average competition, but he is likely to struggle when it comes to getting and keeping NFL competition blocked in both the run game and in pass protection. He will need to get bigger and stronger and play for a zone-scheme unit to have a shot at sticking on a roster.
