As we get closer to the NFL draft, the biggest question that continues to loom is what exactly the New York Jets and GM Joe Douglas are going to do at the tenth overall selection. In three of his last four drafts, Douglas has made a trade in the first round. And to be honest, there’s a chance that we could see that again this year. While many analysts are continuously projecting Georgia TE Brock Bowers to be taken by the team, the Jets would be better off trading down a couple of picks and picking up an elite offensive tackle while they’re still on the board and recouping picks in the process. After all, the team needs to protect not only Rodgers, but any quarterback who comes after him if they want any hope of sustained success.
