New WWE QR code tells us something is ‘Coming Soon’… and maybe more

First off, apologies for not having an update on the “Nightbird” campaign clues from SmackDown last Friday (April 19). Fans in Pittsburgh reported that song again played in the arena before the broadcast, then a QR code displayed during Triple H’s entrance on the show took us to a link on WWE.com, where we got this image:

Clicking on the right spot of that — where a zoom in reveals the words “I’m nobody” — takes you here, where we get even more obvious Plato’s cave art…

…and another VHS-y video that contained the message: “I set them free / out of the miry clay / opened their eyes / while you did nothing” amidst the usual disconcerting images, which included a sonogram and a newborn baby at the start and the return of the black bird and Pluto symbols at the end.

There were also geographic coordinates for Slovenia’s Križna Jama or Cross Cave, which Wikipedia tells us is named for the nearby Holy Cross Church, has over 45 subterranean lakes & one of the largest deposits of cave bear skeletons in Europe, and was the site of a rescue earlier this year.

Then last night (April 22) on Raw from Columbus, Ohio, a code popped up before Chad Gable’s promo. It took us to this WWE.com page, and a riddle on a green screen terminal:

The correct answer (the URL is a clue), loads an “invitation”. But fans also discovered you could get it to respond in different ways…

Clicking the “invitation” link gets us another video made to appear it was recorded on an old tape. This one opens with a few vintage “Coming Soon” graphics, followed by a strange shadow cast on the front door of a house. The person holding the camera drops off a note that reads, “Remember who you are” before scurrying away. It all wraps up in the usual fashion.

But I haven’t seen anything to dissuade us of the notion this is leading to Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy returning with some friends. Who exactly those friends are, and what they’ll get up to when they arrive?
